Mission Statement from the Co-Founder of BRDBND.

 

Bettina Duval co-founded BRDBND with one goal in mind – Distribute quality products to the cable television industry. As a woman owned business, BRDBND takes pride in offering high quality products and customer service to all of the major MSO’s.

Bettina Duval founded CALIFORNIALIST, a political action committee to elect women in California, in 2002. Six of CALIFORNIALIST’s candidates, whose careers were nurtured early on by the CALIFORNIALIST, are now serving in Congress. CaliforniaList has been renamed the California Women’s List.

Bettina is president of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica Board of Governors and is appointed to the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Commission.

Bettina is a member of UC Berkeley Goldman School of Public Policy Board. She is also a member of the University of California Berkeley Parent Board, and worked with the Cal Athletic Department to establish a Cal rowing fundraising program.

Bettina serves on the Berkeley Hall School Board of Trustees and is a member of the Everychild Foundation. She is a past president of the Junior League of Los Angeles and a founding board member of ACCION, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing college counseling to Latino high school students.

Recently recognized by the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce, Bettina is the recipient of the OWL Award for her outstanding women’s leadership.

Bettina received her B.A. in Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley. As Campus Coordinator of the Associated Students of UC Berkeley Student Body, she partnered with the League of Women Voters to put an end to ballot tampering and other campaign violations, creating a fair and just electoral process.

Bettina resides in Santa Monica with her husband Glenn. She is a mother of four, including two bears: Anne ’15 and Christopher ’18.

Elizabeth Duval is the Vice President and Co-Founder of BRDBND. She started the company with her mother, Bettina, after completing her Masters in Business at the London School of Economics. 

Elizabeth attended Marlborough High School in Los Angeles and received her Bachelors from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. 

In 2008, when at Hopkins, Elizabeth received the Emerging Leadership Award for her work on the Student Government Association (SGA). As well, at the London School of Economics, she was the recipient of Entrepreneur of the Year award for a live tweeting business, Sidekixz. 

Elizabeth continues to serve as part of her community, participating in the Junior League of San Francisco as well as acting as the President of the Johns Hopkins Young Alumni Association.
